Cheyenne's "Quality of Life"

In May 2005 Cheyenne was ranked second in “Best Cities for Relocating Families” in the small cities category in a study by Worldwide ERC® (Employment Relocation Council) and Primacy Relocation. Cheyenne's rank is up from No. 8 in the same survey in 2004.

The purpose of the study was to rate cities based on factors—both short-term and long-term—that determine the likelihood of a successful relocation.
Ask any resident of Cheyenne what they like best about this community and invariably the answer will be the “quality of life.” While definitions may vary from one person to another, most agree that the people who reside in Cheyenne are its greatest asset. As a community, however, attributes including clean air, minimal traffic congestion (affectionately known to most as “rush minutes” instead of “rush hour”), low crime rate, affordable housing, low taxes, low cost of living, good schools, endless recreational and cultural activities locally and throughout the area, good health care and an attractive, temperate climate make it a very desirable place to live. While it is impossible to find a community that is 100% perfect, it is apparent with the growth that Cheyenne is experiencing, others have discovered the benefits of “Life in the West.” We hope you will enjoy it, too.
